Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou is honoring Youth Entrepreneurship in Cyprus for the first time
Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the Creator and Owner of the easy family of brands (visit www.easy.com & www.easyHistory.info ) and the Founder and Chairman of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation (https://steliosfoundation.com.cy/ ), awards Youth Entrepreneurship in Cyprus for the first time this year. He is generously granting a total of €60,000 to the top three business ideas, which will receive the following awards: 1st Prize – €30,000, 2nd Prize – €20,000, and 3rd Prize – €10,000.
The “Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs in Cyprus 2023” mark the first event of its kind on the island, mirroring the established awards in Greece, that have been running since 2008. The aim of the “Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs” is to become an institution in Cyprus, running alongside the Stelios Bi-Communal Awards, which have been honoring Bi-communal business cooperation since 2009 and will continue with the next award ceremony in March 2024.
Candidates for the Youth Entrepreneurship Awards must be under the age of 35 and have established a company in the Republic of Cyprus within the last 5 years. Young entrepreneurs of any nationality are eligible to participate in the awards.
Referring to the Youth Entrepreneurship Awards, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou stated: “The younger generation represents the future of our economy, and Start-up businesses are the cornerstone for building a productive and dynamically evolving country. That is why I consider the establishment of these awards exceptionally significant. By the age of 35, I had already launched two significant Start-up businesses, but as I always say, I was fortunate to have funding from my father. Therefore, I wish success to all the young individuals, whether or not they have a wealthy parent supporting them!”
Applications for the Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs in Cyprus 2023 can be submitted from May 29, 2023, until July 14, 2023. The interviews with the applicants will be conducted online, while the Awards Ceremony is scheduled for September 2023. Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou will personally reward and congratulate the winners via Zoom.

O Σερ Στέλιος Χατζηιωάννου βραβεύει για πρώτη χρονιά τη Νεανική Επιχειρηματικότητα στην Κύπρο
Ο Σερ Στέλιος Χατζηιωάννου, Δημιουργός και Ιδιοκτήτης της easy family of brands (βλ. www.easy. com & www.easyHistory.info) και Ιδρυτής και Πρόεδρος του Stelios Philanthropic Foundation (https://steliosfoundation.com.cy/) βραβεύει για πρώτη φορά φέτος στην Κύπρο τη Νεανική Επιχειρηματικότητα, προσφέροντας συνολικά 60,000 ευρώ στις τρεις καλύτερες επιχειρηματικές ιδέες, οι οποίες και θα διακριθούν (1ο Βραβείο 30,000€ – 2ο Βραβείο 20,000€ – 3ο Βραβείο 10,000€).
Τα “Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs in Cyprus 2023” αποτελούν την πρώτη διοργάνωση στο νησί, ακολουθώντας τα αντίστοιχα βραβεία στην Ελλάδα τα οποία πραγματοποιούνται από το 2008. Τα “Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs” στοχεύουν να καταστούν θεσμός στην Κύπρο και να καθιερωθούν παράλληλα όπως και τα Stelios Bi-Communal Awards, τα οποία επιβραβεύουν τη Δικοινοτική επιχειρηματική Συνεργασία από το 2009 και τα οποία θα συνεχίσουν με την επόμενη ημερομηνία βράβευσης τον Μάρτιο του 2024.
Οι υποψήφιοι για τα Βραβεία Νεανικής Επιχειρηματικότητας θα πρέπει να είναι κάτω των 35 ετών και να έχουν ιδρύσει εταιρεία στην Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία τα τελευταία 5 χρόνια. Επίσης, δικαίωμα συμμετοχής στα βραβεία έχουν νέοι επιχειρηματίες οποιασδήποτε υπηκοότητας.
Ο Σερ Στέλιος Χατζηιωάννου, αναφερόμενος στο νεοσύστατο θεσμό των Βραβείων Νεανικής Επιχειρηματικότητας, δήλωσε χαρακτηριστικά: «Οι νέοι είναι το μέλλον της οικονομίας μας, αλλά και οι Start-Ups επιχειρήσεις ο θεμέλιος λίθος για την οικοδόμηση μιας χώρας παραγωγικής και δυναμικά εξελισσόμενης. Γι’ αυτό και θεωρώ ιδιαίτερα σημαντική την καθιέρωση αυτών των βραβείων για στήριξη της νεανικής επιχειρηματικότητας. Μέχρι τα 35 μου χρόνια είχα ήδη ξεκινήσει δύο σημαντικές νεοφυείς (Start-Ups) επιχειρήσεις, αλλά όπως πάντα λέω, εγώ ήμουνα τυχερός γιατί είχα χρηματοδότηση από τον πατέρα μου. Εύχομαι λοιπόν, καλή επιτυχία σε όλους τους νέους του σήμερα με ή χωρίς πλούσιο μπαμπά!
Αιτήσεις στα Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs in Cyprus 2023, μπορούν να υποβληθούν από τις 29 Μαΐου 2023 μέχρι και τις 14 Ιουλίου 2023. Η διαδικασία των συνεντεύξεων με τους αιτούντες, θα πραγματοποιηθεί διαδικτυακά, ενώ η Τελετή Απονομής των Βραβείων προγραμματίζεται για τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2023, με τον Σερ Στέλιο Χατζηιωάννου να επιβραβεύει και να συγχαίρει τους νικητές, μέσω zoom.
