On the occasion of #WorldMaritimeDay CYMEPA organised a Cleaning of the Beach and the Seabed of Akti Olympion B’, (Thalassokoritso) in Limassol on Thursday 28 September 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
The event was under the auspices of the Shipping Deputy Minister Ms Marina Hadjimanoli and the Environment Commissioner Ms Maria Panayiotou and was supported by the Municipality of Limassol and the participation of the following organised groups:
CYPRUS SHIPPING CHAMBER, LIMASSOL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY, WISTA, YOUNGSHIP, CMMI, MASTER MARINERS ASSΟCIATION, THE NAUTICAL INSTITUTE, INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED SHIPBROKERS, LIMASSOL MARINA, DP WORLD LIMASSOL, ANCORIA INSURANCE, AKTI, PAVLIDES FREEDIVING SCHOOL and ENALIA PHYSIS.
Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, as the sponsor of the event, provided the volunteers with T-shirts, caps, gloves and bags.
There will be source identification of the collected litter by AKTI Project and Research Centre, within the framework of the national actions #potavristou.
